Kids Craft Project (with grown-up assistance)

Hey guys!!

My project for this post is not a papercraft project.  But it is so fun and cute, that I have to share!!   A few weeks ago, my niece was over crafting with me.  She drew these adorable pictures of her, her sister, my mom, (grandma) and me.  They were so cute!  She gave us all curly hair (though none of us have it.)  And she just had so much fun!!  (She is six years old.)

Well, these pictures were so cute that my mom wanted to preserve it in a way other than just keeping the drawing.  So she came up with the idea to transfer it onto a tote bag, and the girls can carry them around whenever they want!

So we scanned the drawing, and her "signature," and printed it onto some inkjet transfer sheets that I purchased at Joanns.  Then, Grandma ironed on the design, and we went to town with fabric puff paints!!

Sorry, the  photos aren't that great.

After the paint was dry, Grandma then added some finishing touches by sewing on some buttons, crochet embelishments, and adding some charms hung by ribbon.  (The tote bags SHOULD be washable, although, I'm kinda scared to try it!! Lol! )

I love them!  I just think they're adorable!
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. These are too cute! Your niece must be so excited to see her beautiful artwork turned into something that you'll be able to use for a long time. What a great idea! I'll definitely have to keep this one in mind for when my niece starts creating her own master pieces! Thanks for sharing this awesome project.
