My First Post!

Hey everyone!

This is my first of many posts!  I am so excited to finally have a craft blog!  :)  I have been paper crafting for years, and I typically take pictures of whatever I make.  I just never got around to creating a blog to post my projects!  I am going to try and post each and every thing that I make.  It will not be daily, and sometimes not even weekly.  But I hope this can be a place for someone to find inspiration in crafting! I know I like to look around on blogs and videos of fellow crafters and see everything they create, so I hope my blog will be one of those places for people to turn.

I feel the need to explain my blog title since this is my first post.  I was diagnosed 3 1/2 years ago with Gastroparesis.  It's a CRAZY disease where basically, my stomach is paralyzed.  It involves constant pain, nausea, vomiting, and [way more frequent than anyone would like] hospitalizations. Because of the constant vomiting, a little over a year ago, I went completely blind.  Both of my retinas detached.  After three surgeries, months of recovery, and the miracles of technology and an AMAZING doctor, I am able to see again!!  My vision currently is quite bad, but I am just so very grateful to be able to see again, that I never take a single day for granted! It has really made me appreciate the little things in life.  I am unable to work due to the unpredictability of my disease, so making crafts when I feel good enough,  is what keeps me going!   That, and my wonderful friends and family.  :)

Tomorrow, (well, technically in seven minutes) is World Card Making Day!!!  So I am off to make a few cards. I have six birthdays in the next two weeks that I need to create cards for, and I haven't even started to think of ideas!!!  So I better get crackin'.....or....craftin'!  :)

Thanks for stopping by! I look forward to posting my projects, and getting to know new friends!!
