Pregnancy Mini Album

Good Morning!

Today I want to show a project I worked on for quite a while last year.  (The end of last year.)  If you've read my previous posts, you know that it takes me a very, VERY long time to craft because of my limited eyesight and my illness.  Well, my little brother and his wife (my awesome sister-in-law) are expecting their first baby in two months!! (wow...it's less than two months...where does the time go!?)  I wanted her to be able to document her pregnancy, so I made her a Pregnancy Mini Album!!
It is not technically "mini."  The finished size is roughly  8.5" x 12"     Also, there will be lots of pictures in this post, and they are not great pictures.  I took them as I was running out the door to give this book to my sister-in-law.  (I had forgotten to take pictures of it once it was completed!!)  So I ended up taking these all in 30 seconds....and...well...you can tell! haha.

Here is the cover and unopened, standing, view:

I made the book to represent a woman's pregnant belly as it grows over the pregnancy.  (I told Liz that I had to make the month 1 page with a little belly bump otherwise the book didn't look right...and to not be offended because she soooo does NOT have a belly!!! Haha.)
Here are the month 1 pages:

I made a lot of tags and pull-outs, for plenty of room for journaling and photos.  This is an important time to document!! :)

Month Two:

Month Three:

Month Four:
I love that page!!  The pickles and ice cream cone tags to write down her cravings!  The pickle has journaling spots on the back, and the ice cream flips to the side (via the brad on top) and there are lines for journaling under the ice cream!  There were fun!
Month FIVE:
Month SIX:
That photo mat behind the tree pulls out, and on the back are lines for journaling.
 Month Seven:
Month eight:
I really like this crib that I made into a pocket for tags!!

 Month Nine:
On this last page, I made tags that have room for all the details of the baby and birth, like weight, length, time, name, etc.  And room for a pic of the newborn! :)  I am so happy with how this book turned out.  I tried to make most of the tags interchangeable.  That way, if the shower wasn't held in the month I had the tag in, she could put it in a pocket of the month it actually was.  Same with doc visits and other tags.  I hope my sister in law likes it, and fills it up with good memories and fun pictures!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Spring!

 Hi all!

Happy spring!  I like this time of year.  I love seeing new life bloom, the smell of fresh cut grass, spring training baseball games here in AZ, seeing little baby quails run in a single-file line behind their mommy, and that rare rain that we get (if we are lucky.)  This peacefulness doesn't last long for me though, it warms up QUICK here!!  Haha.

Today I have a spring card that I made for a friend.  It's a very simple card, but I enjoyed making it.

And close-up of the front sentiment:

Of  course I forgot to take a picture of the inside, nothing special...I just stamped "Happy Spring"!

That's all for now. Thanks for looking at my card!! Hope you're having a great week!!

BRA-vo!!

Happy Tuesday!!

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

I just have a quick post today to show you a card I made last night.  I was in a silly mood, and needed a thank you card for my mom, so I got creative!
It's a bra card!!!  There are so many sentiments you can use with this.  For example, "BRA-vo" for a congrats or job well done card; "Hope your day is uplifting" for a encouragement or hello card;  and you can do like I did and say, "You are like a bra....close to my heart, and always supportive!!"
It can be really fun to be silly with your crafting! :)
 One more pic:
Please ignore my mess in the background!! Eek!

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great day!

Happy (late) St. Patty's Day

Hello crafty friends!

It has been so very long since I have been able to post.  The past five-ish months have been not so great, health-wise for me.  This disease is never fun, but some times are just way harder than others.  The past five months, I haven't done nearly the crafting that I hoped to do, and that makes me sad. :(

But I was able to make a few projects, and I will try to post those that I took pictures of here in the next week or so.   Since yesterday was St. Patty's Day, I will show my cards that I made for it! :)  Did you all wear your GREEN!?!? :)

Here is my little leprechaun friend.  I had so much fun making these cards.  This is one of my favorite holidays anyway, so it's always fun! :)

And here are the cards I made using him (and different versions of him.)
Gatefold version:
Lady Leprechaun:

For this card, it is a Z-fold card, and I made it so when it opens up, the boy and girl leprechaun hold hands!
Here is a card I made showing a pint of green beer!
I don't know if you can tell, but I cut the mug out in vellum, and also in acetate.  I embossed the vellum cut with the distressed stripes cuttlebug folder, to make it look more like the beer stein shape, and the vellum gave it the "frosty" appearance.  Then, the acetate was cut to make it look like glass.   I wish my camera took more clear photos!

Here are my Shamrock cards:
For these next 2 shamrock cards, I made the shamrocks using a 'love' heart stamp that I got from Hobby Lobby. (I don't remember the brand.)
Close-up of the stamp:
....And the final shamrock card:

Oh, and I decorated all of the envelopes like this too!

Boy, it feels good to be able to post again!!!  Thanks for stopping by and looking at my projects!  I'm off to look at all of your blogs now!! YAY!!
