Coffee Gift-Card Holder Card

Hey everyone!

Today I have a card to share, and I am super excited about this one!  :)

First, I bought a die from Your Next Stamp a couple months ago. This die is a Tab Door Die, and I LOVEit!  I have so many ideas swirling around in my brain, that all involove using this die, and Ican't wait to make them all!

So today, I have a gift-card holder card.  Since my gift was a Starbucks gift-card, I decided to make a coffee cup shaped card.  This was very simple, I just found one that I liked on the Cricut, and cut it out.

Then, on the inside   I cut an extra piece of the coffee cup shape, and used the die to put the preforated tabbed door into.

Then I  simply attached that layer over the inside of the card base.  This makes an awesome hidden surprise under a door that the recipient gets to open!  :)

I then stamped Happy Birthday, and 'open here' with an arrow pointing to the tab door.  Those stamps came from a stamp set also from Your Next Stamp company.  Here are the completed card pictures:

Felt Flowers

happy Saturday everyone!
I love this time of year, college football season is my absolute favorite season! Hehe.

Today I just have a quick share. Lately I have seen a lot of embellishment made out of felt, and I wanted to give it a try.  I got out my Sizzix die called 'rolled rose,', and some Halloween colors of felt. I really like this die because it makes both sizes of flowers with one pass through the die-cutting machine. All that was left to do was roll and glue them.

I am very satisfied with how they turned out, especially for this being my first time making them! Now, I just have to make a project to put them on! Haha.

Cash Candles Birthday Card

Hi crafters!
How is your week going?  Mine seems to be very uneventful, so far.  Which is a good thing, right?!  :)
Today I have another birthday card to share.   This one is for my brother.  I knew that I'd be giving him cash, but wanted a clever way to do it.  I was talking with my friend Jo, and she gave me this awesome idea!!
I started by rolling little 2"x2" pieces of cardstock into these small tubes.
Then I rolled the money even smaller.
I used my Cricut to cut out ten of these flame shapes, (ten so that I vould put some foam adadhesive in between two, to make them more 3D looking.)  I then glued everything to my card, (except the money obviously.  Haha.  It was just rolled up and slid into the tubes.)  The inside sentiment says, "Dont BLOW it all in one place."  Hahaha, I love that!
And here is the finished card:
Thanks for visiting me today.  Have a great rest of the week!!

My First Canvas!

Hey there!  How is everyone doing this week? Today I have a different type of project to share. I am really loving the mixed media scene right now. I have seen some of the most amazing projects! These projects inspired me to try out a canvas. This is the first time ever for me, working on a canvas. My friend, Susumu does some amazing mixed media projects, so I knew for my first one I wanted to make something for her. I always call her a crafty superhero, because she is such an amazingly talented all-around crafter.  So I made this in her likeness:

I also made a card that ccoordinates with my canvas.  I hope she likes it, and I hope you all do as well!

Vintage-Lookung Birthday Card

Hey!

Today I want to share a card that I created for a member of the birthday card club that I am hosting this year. This was a May birthday, but I don't like posting  the pictures until the recipient has received it, so these posts are typically very late!

For  this card, I started with a corrugated card base by Recollections.  I then picked out some patterned paper by Tim Holtz, that has these awesome retro clocks on it!   I then used my clocl die, (also by Tim Holtz) and added a flower to the center of the clock.

This flower was created using the We R Memory Keepers Flower Punch Board. To be honest, I did NOT think this was a tool that I wanted, or would ever use.  But I do actually like these flowers that it creates.  This is the smallest size, following the directions.  Then, I just added an aqua button by Bazzil to the center, and I really like how it turned out.  I finished the card off by adding the sentiment, "Party Time," (to go along with the clocks) and finally with two metal aqua photo corners.   I am pleased with this card, and really hope my recipient liked It!

Thanks for visiting me today!

Retro Video Game Birthday Card

Hey everyone!

Today I have a card to share. This card, I made for my friends husband. She is having a challenge on her YouTube channel for her husband's birthday. You could make anything that you are most comfortable making, and we all know I am a card maker at heart! I know that their entire family loves video games, so that is the theme I went with.

All of the papers came from a DCWV 'the boyhood' stack. And then I just used thickers for the numbers 26. I really like my sentiment being "level 26 completed.," because he is turning 27 years old! The little space invaders icon in the bottom left corner, is actually a silicon piece. I really liked the interest that it gave this card. On the inside, I just hand wrote "Have an amazing level 27!"

I also have a video of this card up on my YT Channel.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Birthdays Are Like Purses...

Hey!!

Today I have another birthday card to share. This is for one of the ladies in the birthday card club that I am hosting this year.
For this particular card, I knew I could get away with making a sillier type of card.  I have made a card using this sentiment before, and just loved it! So I wanted to try to recreate that card. I cut out three different purses using my Cricut machine, and went with a black and white theme for this card. For the outside, the sentiment reads "Birthdays are like purses..."  And then on the inside, the sentiment continues with,  "The more you have, the harder it is to find your keys!"  I just love that sentiment! It always makes me laugh.  I had so much fun making this card, & I really hope the recipient enjoyed it!

Treats For The Neighbors

Hi everyone!

I have been trying to get caught up with my blog, so today what I am sharing is something that I actually made a couple months ago.

On this particular day, I actually had a couple of hours of good times! So I decided to make some "Lori-O Cookies" for the neighbors! (These are just two soft cookies with a yummy cream cheese icing in the center.)  I typically make these chocolate cookies, but this time I wanted to make vanilla. I put them in little baggies, and put those into these French fry type boxes that are just so cute. I then added a quick stamped tag, (stamp is by Prima,) & added a flower, and attached the tags to the french-fry type oxes. Then, they were good to go!

I really love how these turned out, and thibk the packaging is just so cute!

It's A Birthday Card, Chick!

Hey there!

I hope you are all having a great week! Today, I just have another birthday card to share. This is another card that I made for a lady in the birthday card club that I am hosting this year.  She mentioned that she liked farm-y things, so I knew that I wanted to use this adorable chicken holding balloons stamp that I have!

My mother actually colored this image for me. She coloris a lot of my images, otherwise I would not be able to make half of the cards that I do! Then I just cut it out using a regular circle die,  the background paper is from a birthday stack by DCWV. The sentiment also came with that stamp, by Unity Stamp Co.

I just love the look of this card, it is so bright and cheery!

Thank you for visiting me today!

3 sets of PL-Style Cards

Hello everyone!

I have recently participated in 3 different YouTube challenges where I had to make Project Life type of cards.  I had never even attempted making these type of cards before these challenges. I must say, they are quite fun and quite addicting!

For the first challenge, I had to make cards that were 3 by 4 and they were for two best friends who were celebrating their friendship as well as their one year anniversary on youtube. I made three different card pairs for that challenge.  Here is a picture:

For the top pair, I tried to mimic the YouTube logo and then just wrote "best friends" across the cards. This card is to represent their one year anniversary being on YouTube. For the second card pair, I tried to mimic one of those necklaces that we had as children, where you had a heart shaped necklace that broke apart in two pieces and it said 'best friends' across the charm. One friend kept half of the heart and the other friend kept the other half. So that's exactly what I made for those cards. For the third pair, I designed this shortstack of pancakes on my trip Gypsy, and cut it out on my Cricut machine. Then I just stamped "I heart" above them. This card is because whenever these two friends get together, they go n eat pancakes!  I really wanted to make them cards that represented that fun tradition that they do together. I really like how these cards came out, and cannot wait to make more of these type of cards!

I do have a video on these cards on my youtube channel.

Thanks for stopping by everyone! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
