Coffee Gift-Card Holder Card

Hey everyone!

Today I have a card to share, and I am super excited about this one!  :)

First, I bought a die from Your Next Stamp a couple months ago. This die is a Tab Door Die, and I LOVEit!  I have so many ideas swirling around in my brain, that all involove using this die, and Ican't wait to make them all!

So today, I have a gift-card holder card.  Since my gift was a Starbucks gift-card, I decided to make a coffee cup shaped card.  This was very simple, I just found one that I liked on the Cricut, and cut it out.

Then, on the inside   I cut an extra piece of the coffee cup shape, and used the die to put the preforated tabbed door into.

Then I  simply attached that layer over the inside of the card base.  This makes an awesome hidden surprise under a door that the recipient gets to open!  :)

I then stamped Happy Birthday, and 'open here' with an arrow pointing to the tab door.  Those stamps came from a stamp set also from Your Next Stamp company.  Here are the completed card pictures:

Felt Flowers

happy Saturday everyone!
I love this time of year, college football season is my absolute favorite season! Hehe.

Today I just have a quick share. Lately I have seen a lot of embellishment made out of felt, and I wanted to give it a try.  I got out my Sizzix die called 'rolled rose,', and some Halloween colors of felt. I really like this die because it makes both sizes of flowers with one pass through the die-cutting machine. All that was left to do was roll and glue them.

I am very satisfied with how they turned out, especially for this being my first time making them! Now, I just have to make a project to put them on! Haha.

Thanks for visiting me today!

Cash Candles Birthday Card

Hi crafters!
How is your week going?  Mine seems to be very uneventful, so far.  Which is a good thing, right?!  :)
Today I have another birthday card to share.   This one is for my brother.  I knew that I'd be giving him cash, but wanted a clever way to do it.  I was talking with my friend Jo, and she gave me this awesome idea!!
I started by rolling little 2"x2" pieces of cardstock into these small tubes.
Then I rolled the money even smaller.
I used my Cricut to cut out ten of these flame shapes, (ten so that I vould put some foam adadhesive in between two, to make them more 3D looking.)  I then glued everything to my card, (except the money obviously.  Haha.  It was just rolled up and slid into the tubes.)  The inside sentiment says, "Dont BLOW it all in one place."  Hahaha, I love that!
And here is the finished card:
Thanks for visiting me today.  Have a great rest of the week!!

My First Canvas!

Hey there!  How is everyone doing this week? Today I have a different type of project to share. I am really loving the mixed media scene right now. I have seen some of the most amazing projects! These projects inspired me to try out a canvas. This is the first time ever for me, working on a canvas. My friend, Susumu does some amazing mixed media projects, so I knew for my first one I wanted to make something for her. I always call her a crafty superhero, because she is such an amazingly talented all-around crafter.  So I made this in her likeness:

I also made a card that ccoordinates with my canvas.  I hope she likes it, and I hope you all do as well!

Vintage-Lookung Birthday Card

Hey!

Today I want to share a card that I created for a member of the birthday card club that I am hosting this year. This was a May birthday, but I don't like posting  the pictures until the recipient has received it, so these posts are typically very late!

For  this card, I started with a corrugated card base by Recollections.  I then picked out some patterned paper by Tim Holtz, that has these awesome retro clocks on it!   I then used my clocl die, (also by Tim Holtz) and added a flower to the center of the clock.

This flower was created using the We R Memory Keepers Flower Punch Board. To be honest, I did NOT think this was a tool that I wanted, or would ever use.  But I do actually like these flowers that it creates.  This is the smallest size, following the directions.  Then, I just added an aqua button by Bazzil to the center, and I really like how it turned out.  I finished the card off by adding the sentiment, "Party Time," (to go along with the clocks) and finally with two metal aqua photo corners.   I am pleased with this card, and really hope my recipient liked It!

Thanks for visiting me today!

Retro Video Game Birthday Card

Hey everyone!

Today I have a card to share. This card, I made for my friends husband. She is having a challenge on her YouTube channel for her husband's birthday. You could make anything that you are most comfortable making, and we all know I am a card maker at heart! I know that their entire family loves video games, so that is the theme I went with.

All of the papers came from a DCWV 'the boyhood' stack. And then I just used thickers for the numbers 26. I really like my sentiment being "level 26 completed.," because he is turning 27 years old! The little space invaders icon in the bottom left corner, is actually a silicon piece. I really liked the interest that it gave this card. On the inside, I just hand wrote "Have an amazing level 27!"

I also have a video of this card up on my YT Channel.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Birthdays Are Like Purses...

Hey!!

Today I have another birthday card to share. This is for one of the ladies in the birthday card club that I am hosting this year.
For this particular card, I knew I could get away with making a sillier type of card.  I have made a card using this sentiment before, and just loved it! So I wanted to try to recreate that card. I cut out three different purses using my Cricut machine, and went with a black and white theme for this card. For the outside, the sentiment reads "Birthdays are like purses..."  And then on the inside, the sentiment continues with,  "The more you have, the harder it is to find your keys!"  I just love that sentiment! It always makes me laugh.  I had so much fun making this card, & I really hope the recipient enjoyed it!

Treats For The Neighbors

Hi everyone!

I have been trying to get caught up with my blog, so today what I am sharing is something that I actually made a couple months ago.

On this particular day, I actually had a couple of hours of good times! So I decided to make some "Lori-O Cookies" for the neighbors! (These are just two soft cookies with a yummy cream cheese icing in the center.)  I typically make these chocolate cookies, but this time I wanted to make vanilla. I put them in little baggies, and put those into these French fry type boxes that are just so cute. I then added a quick stamped tag, (stamp is by Prima,) & added a flower, and attached the tags to the french-fry type oxes. Then, they were good to go!

I really love how these turned out, and thibk the packaging is just so cute!

It's A Birthday Card, Chick!

Hey there!

I hope you are all having a great week! Today, I just have another birthday card to share. This is another card that I made for a lady in the birthday card club that I am hosting this year.  She mentioned that she liked farm-y things, so I knew that I wanted to use this adorable chicken holding balloons stamp that I have!

My mother actually colored this image for me. She coloris a lot of my images, otherwise I would not be able to make half of the cards that I do! Then I just cut it out using a regular circle die,  the background paper is from a birthday stack by DCWV. The sentiment also came with that stamp, by Unity Stamp Co.

I just love the look of this card, it is so bright and cheery!

Thank you for visiting me today!

3 sets of PL-Style Cards

Hello everyone!

I have recently participated in 3 different YouTube challenges where I had to make Project Life type of cards.  I had never even attempted making these type of cards before these challenges. I must say, they are quite fun and quite addicting!

For the first challenge, I had to make cards that were 3 by 4 and they were for two best friends who were celebrating their friendship as well as their one year anniversary on youtube. I made three different card pairs for that challenge.  Here is a picture:

For the top pair, I tried to mimic the YouTube logo and then just wrote "best friends" across the cards. This card is to represent their one year anniversary being on YouTube. For the second card pair, I tried to mimic one of those necklaces that we had as children, where you had a heart shaped necklace that broke apart in two pieces and it said 'best friends' across the charm. One friend kept half of the heart and the other friend kept the other half. So that's exactly what I made for those cards. For the third pair, I designed this shortstack of pancakes on my trip Gypsy, and cut it out on my Cricut machine. Then I just stamped "I heart" above them. This card is because whenever these two friends get together, they go n eat pancakes!  I really wanted to make them cards that represented that fun tradition that they do together. I really like how these cards came out, and cannot wait to make more of these type of cards!

I do have a video on these cards on my youtube channel.

Thanks for stopping by everyone! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

GINORMOUS Hello Kitty Birthday Card!!

 Hi everyone!

Today I have another birthday card to share.  This one has a funny back story to it.  When I started the Birthday Card Club, I got a question "What size is an A5 card?"  I thought, hmmmm... this is an odd question to ask me, I don't think I have ever made an A5 or mentioned it before.  But I looked it up to provide an answer.  The first couple websites that I saw, showed A5 as something ridiculous like 18" x 27" or something ODD like that.  Then another website showed something just a couple inches different from that.  So, it took me a bit, but I finally found the correct A5 measurements.

Then I got another question.  "What is A5 size?"  And this time I asked, why are you asking me that?  She told me that my email that went out to everyone had that we needed to make at least an A5 sized card.  WHAAAAAT!??!  No!!  I meant to say A2!  So then I freaked out, and sent a "correction" email to everyone saying that I meant to type A2.  Well, I went back and checked my original email, and it DID say A2, so I thought, "How could it have been changed by just sending it out?!  How could email just change what I typed?"  Well, it didn't.!  LOL!  It tuns out that she read the email quickly, and then called her best friend to ask what A5 was (the other person who emailed me.)  So it wasn't my error in an email! WHEW!

Well, this gal is awesome, and has such a fun personality, so I was joking with her best friend that I was going to send her a HUGE card as a joke for her birthday card.  And her friend egged me on!!  So I did it!  Here is my card:

I could barely get it all in frame!  It is 16" wide by 24" tall!  yes, HUGE!!!   It started out as an actual greeting card (that I can't remember who made it) but around the big holidays, like Christmas and Valentine's Day they have these giant cards in the greeting card aisle.  This one was a Valentine's Day card, I will show it:
Yeah, it was a Valentine's Day lovey card.  So I covered it up to make it a Birthday Card!!  I used the DCWV 12" x 24" Adhesive backed Patterned stack.

Here is the Hello Kitty that I cut out on my Cricut:
Yep, that's a quarter by her ear, just so you can see how BIG she is!!  This actual cut is different, I tweaked it with my Gypsy to make the kitty as big as the balloons.  Because the actual cut, she is pretty well proportioned to how it would be in real life.  (I guess.)  But I wanted her bigger, since the card itself is so big.  So I have the kitty and the balloon cut to be about 11" each.

Here is a look at the inside of the card:

I had to cover the inside as well.  (It had some lovey dovey sentiment like "Be my sugar" or something like that. lol!)  So I used some Hello Kitty paper to do a border on the side, then a piece of 12" x 24" white cardstock (also DCWV) and then cut out my sentiment using MAMBI Sizzix font dies called "Night & Day."

Here is a close-up of the sentiment:

I had to add a silly sentiment that represented the whole A5 thing!  I hope she likes my card, and I hope she gets a good laugh out of it!  I have always been one to tease, so I love it when I find friends who can laugh easily!  :)
I hope you have a very happy birthday Penny!!!

A video will be up on my YT channel about this card as well.  Thanks for stopping by!!

ATC I made!

Hey!

Today I have an ATC that I made to share.  This is the first one I have ever made, and I guess it's not a true ATC, this one is 3" x 4".  So it's a little bigger than normal ATC's.  But this was a good size for me to work with.

I made this for a YT challenge. My friend Teresa, (her YT name is craftinmommaML) was having a challenge to celebrate having over 150 subscribers. (YAY TERESA!!!)  Her challenge was to create a 3x4 card that represented you, and that had your YT name on it.  Here is what I came up with:
Since my YT name is the same as here, Craftin Blind, that is on the bottom of the card.  I used some skull paper from Tiddly Inks (a digital paper.)  and printed it on purple cardstock for the background.  Then I put an eye chart on my card.  I thought that was a good representation of me as well as my name! lol.  Then I got these adorable glasses from the jewelry section at Hobby Lobby a while ago, they are a charm...but they are big for a charm!  I also used a wood veneer camera that I colored purple.  I put a butterfly bubble sticker inside the camera.  And I added two cute little skulls to the bottom.

Here is the back:
The pink skull here is actually a temporary tattoo.  Yes!! You CAN put them on paper!  They work great, and are an awesome embellishment for paper crafting!!   Then I wrote the story of my youtube name, and added some metal dots to finish it off.

I really love how this card came out.  I almost wanted to keep it for my name sign! lol!

Thanks for stopping by and visiting me today!  Have a GREAT week!

Another March Birthday Card

Hello there!!

Today I have a birthday card to share.  This is another one that I made for the Birthday Card Club that I am hosting.  I had so much fun making this card, and really hope the recipient likes it!

The Polaroid frame was cut from my Cricut.  I used a CC designs stamp for the girl image, and the Dachshund is from a stamp set by MayMay Made It, the set is called Trixie's Valentine.  The banner pieces is also a stamp set, but at the moment I can't remember what brand that one is.  If anyone wants to know any specific details, just ask!  :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!  Have a great rest of your week!

Friendship Card

Hi guys & gals!

I hope you are all having a great week! I have a friendship card to share today.  This may look simple, but as most of you already know, even the simplest looking of cards takes me like...two weeks to complete!!  Lol!

I'll jump right into it, here is the card:
The background black patterned paper (that you can barely see) and the purse & shoes paper is from DCWV, the pretty flower is by Petaloo, and the rhinestone flourish is by The Paper Studio.

I was an idiot and forgot to take a picture of the inside, which to me, is the best part of the card!!  I have a sentiment stamp that reads, "Who needs a therapist?  I have you."  And I LOVE that stamp!!!  it is such a good sentiment to use for any of those amazing friends of yours that are always just there to listen, whenever you need them, without judgement!  And that is the kind of friend I made this card for!  :)

I also sent her two of the We R Memory Keepers punch boards, (the gift box one, and the pillow box one) so I can't WAIT to see what she makes with them!!! YAY!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great week!

Owl Themed Birthday Card

Hi everyone!

Today I have another birthday card to share.  This one is for an owl lover!

Here is my card:

I don't think it's just me...but I see a horrible blue tint to this picture.  The background paper is a teal-ish color, and so is the majority of the owl, but to me..this entire picture looks teal!!  Anyway.

Ok, so I cut this owl from the Hoot N Hollar Cricut Cartridge, and the balloons were cut on the Cricut as well.

Here is the inside of my card:

Thanks for stopping by my little creative space today!!  Have a GREAT day!!

Beach Themed Birthday Card

Hi everyone!!

I hope you are all having a great week!  I have been super busy this month making cards and stuff, but I haven't posted most of them yet because I wanted the recipient to be the first to see them.  :)

I started a birthday card club on youtube this year.  It officially began in March,, and it kicked off with a bang!! There were FIVE birthdays for March!  I was worried that it would scare people off, but I promised that the rest of the year would be easier!!  Lol!  There are 25 people total in the birthday card club, so I will have 24 extra cards to make this year, and I am SO, SO excited about it!!

Here is the first one:

This particular person said that she likes beaches and marine themes, so I knew I wanted to do a relaxing beach scene!  I hope I did a good job, and it looks alright.  I get nervous when I make cards for other crafters!!!  Eek!  I used two shades of blue, the lighter blue was to represent the seafoam that shows up as the water recedes from the beach.
Here is the inside of the card:

And that's the first birthday card I have made for this card club!  I hope the recipient likes it!

FUN Idea For Giving Ca$h As A Gift!!

Hi everyone!

I have been neglecting my blog lately.  I don't intend on that, but it happens.  Now that I post videos for my projects rather than just taking pictures, it is so much easier for me to just upload a video than write out a blog post.  (Especially since being on the computer makes me nauseous.)  I just wanted to say that I do have some new videos up, if you're interested you can check out my YT HERE

I do have some pictures to go along with a video today.  This is a gift that I gave my nephew a couple days ago for his 8th birthday.  He is going to Disneyland, so I wanted to give him some "fun money" to spend while he is there.   Well, I don't like just giving cash or a gift card.  I like to try and make it special or unique.  So this is what I did:
Here are the pictures of the finished gift:  (Keep in mind that I KNOW the bow does NOT match the wrapping!  Lol.)  I "wrapped" the box in Sport-themed Duct Tape!!  The bow, is the colors of his favorite team, that's why it doesn't coordinate too well hahaha!

This is the wrapped box with the "pull" tag hanging out
Here is a pic showing the "pull" tag attached to the first dollar bill:
 A Closer view:
Here is the GIANT bow (to hide the hole where the money comes out, and to hide the rest of the "pull" tag:
Another view: (I use these huge bows, so that it just looks like a gift tag with the persons name on it.  Then you tell them to read the tag, and the FUN begins!!!!)
This is just the box and the card together:

This is SUCH a fun gift to give!  It is so awesome to watch the person just pull and pull and pull the cash out of the box, all taped together, one dollar at a time!! Haha.

Hope you like my gift idea!!  Thanks for stopping by today!
