Paper Bobble-Head!!

Hello there!!

So...... on Thanksgiving, I took my Cricut over to my bro's house to do a demo for my Sister-in-law.  We ended up cutting out a bunch of things, and I had so much fun!  The kiddos were also interested in it, so I cut out a couple paper dolls for the girls.  My nephew wanted a football player.... and I didn't have the right colors, or enough time. And I felt HORRIBLE that I had to tell him "no."  So, I made this for him tonight!!

He is a San Diego Chargers FANATIC!   I used Everyday Paper Dolls, and an Action Wobble to make the head 'bobble-head like'  I really REALLY love how it turned out!!   Here is a quick video of the bobble-action! haha...

I made three mini-albums this past week too.  And I don't know how this happened, but I managed to give them all away without taking ANY pictures!!! :(  I am sooo bummed!   They were dog word albums, and had pictures of the pup, along with doggie quotes and sayings.  I had a lot of fun making them, and put a TON of time into them.. so I am really bummed that I didn't get any pictures.  Ah well.  It's ok!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!!  Food, Family, and Football... can't beat that!!

Shocked Turkey!

Hey paper pals!!

I can NOT believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving!!  I feel like the turkey on my card...shocked that it is here already!!  I had the idea for this card in my head for a long time now, and just got it made earlier this week.  Then, last night I was youtube-ing, and saw a video of the (almost) exact same card!!!! That is freaky when that happens, right?!?!

And now I feel bad because I had planned to put a link/shout out to that gal, and I can't for the life of me remember who it was, or find the sheet of paper I wrote it on!!!  So if you see this post, I am SO SORRY!!  :(  But I did love your card!!! :)

So here is my card:

The [live\] turkey is from Create A Critter, the thought bubble is from Smiley Cards (with a few extra little circles from head to thought bubble) and the baked turkey is from Doodlecharms.  I threw some over sized  google-eyes on the turkey to make him looked shocked, like they were popping out of his head.  Haha. The background paper is from a Specialty  photo mat stack by Cloud  9, and if it has a name, I can't find it.  But it has fall papers, Halloween, and Christmas.  I love it!  I bought the 12x12 and the photo stack.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a super nice Thanksgiving everyone!!!

A Thanks Card, but not for Thanksgiving

Hey Paper Pals!!

Sorry that I have been absent from cyber world.  I was in the hospital (again) and have just felt like crafting the past couple days. (I was released from the hospital about a week ago...thank goodness I'm not in there for Thanksgiving this year!!)

A little while ago, I met a relative that I never knew even existed thanks to one of my favorite websites, Ancestry.com!!  I absolutely LOVE that site!!  (Plus, they have a commercial out right now, that for some reason, CRACKS me up!!)  Ok...  so, I met this relative of mine because my Grandma's cousin and best friend was renting a house, and when she moved into a nursing home, (or was moved into a nursing home) they accidently left behind a box of her belongings.  The super super nice homeowner looked into the box, and realized it was all family pictures and heirlooms, and did not want to just throw it out if there was family who would appreciate it.  So he hopped onto Ancestry, and contacted a few people who had her last name in their family tree.  Just so happened that she actually WAS my relative!!  But, she was also this other woman's relative.  So she actually contacted the man with the box first, (because I was in the hospital that time too) and so he sent the box to her.  She them emailed me and said she would scan the pictures that pertained to her, and send the box on to me!  I couldn't believe how nice these people are!  I didn't think people cared enough anymore, but this was refreshing.  So I made a thank you card to send on to her for sending me the box.   Here is the card:

The tree is from the Heritage cartridge, and I can't remember where I cut the "Thanks" from.  It's put on a pre-embossed card from DCWV. (Love those things!!)

Thanks for stopping by!! :)

Fall Sign

I realize I should be making winter signs, but it's still in the upper 90's here...and it just doesn't feel very "winter-ish."  Come to think of it, it's not very "fall feeling" either!!  But ah well.

I made this sign for the same neighbor as the Band Aid card.

The sign measures 8" x 12".  I used Mickey Font for the wording, (welded with my gypsy,) and Gypsy Wanderings for the leaves. I inked the edge of the sign, as well as the leaves.  I like how it turned out.  I used pop dots to pop up some select leaves to give it some depth.

Here's a close up on the leaves:

I had fun making this!!  Thanks for looking!

What a big Band Aid you've got there.

Hi Paper Pals!!

Wild Card is one of my all time favorite cartridges!!  I haven't used all of the cards from it yet, but I plan to for sure!!  It seems that there is always something from that cart that can be used for any project!!

Ok, this card was made for a neighbor that I used to live by.  She's having lots of surgeries lately, so I just wanted to give her a little something.  And I just love this Band Aid Card!!

Card and envie both cut at 6.5 inches.   The inside sentiment is from Beyond Birthdays.

I like simple and quick cards when I don't have much time.

Thanks for looking!
